The months leading up to my maternity leave before Maddie was born were nuts. Crazy, what were we thinking kind of nuts. I was trying to wrap up all my sessions and engagements for the coming season, we were house hunting and eventually bought a house, we had to pack everything up and move, take birthing classes and parent prep classes and get ready for the little one’s arrival. And I had the energy of a sloth. Not the best combination but we eventually got it all accomplished. And one of the bright spots during all the busyness was working with my clients. Even though I was sporting quite the big baby belly by this time, it felt so great to get outside, be creative and get to know all these amazing couples that had entrusted me with the honor of photographing such a special time in their lives.
Vanessa and Mike are one of these amazing couples. When I first met them, I immediately liked them and felt like Vanessa and I had been friends for years. There was an instant comfort and these two are as sweet as they come. Their wedding day was so beautiful (post coming on that one soon) but their engagement session was equally as pretty. We had such fun exploring all over one of my favorite places, the Marin Headlands.
